We’re More Than Pet People
We opened Utopia Boardings with a goal to make it less of the traditional kennel and make it more enjoyable for your dogs.
We pride ourselves on the fact we don’t offer the conventional lead walk. All of our exercise and play time is in our fully enclosed paddock off lead.
We use the best Natural Treats for our boarders and day boarders. Be that a chicken foot or a rabbit ear, your dogs are bound to find a new favourite treat.
We are located perfectly in a quiet hidden part of Cumbria nestled between Workington and Whitehaven.
Here at Utopia have a love for dogs and their health, happiness and welfare are our main priority. Utopia has undergone a full renovation and we can’t wait to welcome all customers old and new.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My dogs have never stayed away from home/family. Therefore, their stay at Utopia was a first for both them and myself, which I was quite anxious about.They were there for 4 weeks so not just a little break.I couldn't be happier with the experience.
My german shepherd has severe allergies and requires a fish-only diet. This dietary restriction was no trouble at all and they were very accommodating.My other dog also has some anxiety and is wary around strangers, however, he settled in fine with no issues.
From the moment I left them, the treatment they received was truly exceptional. The staff went above and beyond to keep me updated with regular pictures, which not only eased my anxiety but also showed me just how much my dogs were enjoying their stay. In fact, it seemed like they didn't want to leave when the time came. The lads handled my dogs with the utmost care, understanding their individual quirks, and making them feel comfortable and at home.When it came time for pickup, our dogs were not only happy and well-adjusted but also clean and fresh, indicating the level of care they received. Everything was prepared and ready for our collection.I can't express enough how grateful I am for the 5* service and attention to detail that was provided. My dogs had a fantastic stay, and it's clear that they were in caring and capable hands. I cannot recommend this place enough. They are absolutely amazing. Whenever I have been away I found it hard to really relax until I discovered Utopia Boarding. Regular pics, videos and updates, and he has had a great time, running about playing in a fully enclosed space. My hound has Been extremely well looked after. Would like to thank the lads at utopia this is the first time we have put Baleu in kennels and felt very at ease when dropping him off, we have had updates and pictures everyday whilst away couldn’t recommend these guys enough. He has loved every minute of being at utopia playing with all his new doggy friends and having lots of tasty treats, come home smelling lovely after a bath before pick up, would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Honey stayed at Utopia Boarding last weekend , we were welcomed by Matt who was lovely. Honey had a fantastic time running around with the other guests.I had photos and videos sent every day which was fantastic and made my time away from Honey more relaxing. When I collected her on Sunday evening she was given a bath 💕.Can't recommend enough. Thank you so much for caring for my beautiful HoneyBun ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
After searching around and looking at a few different places to place our puppy Norman we settled with utopia and sooo glad we did Norman has such a great time and the updates/ pictures really put our mind at ease as it was his first time. Norman is already booked in and can’t wait for his next adventure running round freely on the field. Both lovely Lads would recommend.

What do I need to bring with me ?
You can bring as much or as little as you would like. We supply bowls, beds and bedding. We do recommend a blanket or something that smells like home. To help your dogs settle in.
How can I check on my pet during their stay?
We will provide pictures and videos of your dog having the best time to put your mind and ease whilst they are staying with us.
